KSTR is a 501 (C)3 non-profit organization that I founded in 1999 with my best friend Aislin Livingstone. Here is our story:

Kids Saving the Rainforest was founded in February 1999 by two nine-year old girls, Janine Licare and Aislin Livingstone, who were living in the jungle of Manuel Antonio, Costa Rica. [1] The girls made paper-mache bottles and painted rocks and sold them by the side of the road to raise money for saplings that would be planted in the nearby forest.

Credit: Janine Licare The couple chose Alicia's family's property for their ceremony and reception. "It is a very special place for us where we've made lifelong memories and built incredible relationships," says the couple.

Credit: Janine Licare Photography While rescheduling was a difficult decision, both Jessica and Beau agree it was the right one. "The easiest [part] of all was the elopement weekend—it was stress free, a breeze, and just magical," says the bride, who had two friends in attendance.

Vince and Payal's Anticipate Invitations paper suite gave guests the perfect preview of their wedding day: The invites were filled with watercolor bougainvillea—a representation of the blooms that surround the Rosewood San Miguel de Allende—and painted with Mexican stars, which the couple later hung by the hundreds across their ceremony and reception space.

Before taking the leap into the wedding industry full-time, I dabbled in various careers. I was a middle school science teacher in LA with Teach for America, I worked in immigration law in Silicon Valley, and was Chief of Staff at a startup in San Francisco.
